Steven Holl Architects have connected buildings in a multipurpose hybrid
The project has been named by the Best High-rise Building 2009 in Asia and Australia in competition which has taken place under home nursing Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. In a complex premises, hotel, a cinema, a children's garden, school, an underground parking, the commercial areas, public park are provided.
Eight towers are connected among themselves by a series of high-rise bridges which, by analogy to skyscrapers, have been named “skybridges”.
Architects hope, that this project will award Gold LEED Gold Certification, as the largest "green" multipurpose building. Geothermal wells under the base provide with depth of 100 metres heating in the winter and cooling in the summer.The pond in the complex centre will detain the processed water used in buildings, in the winter a pond will freeze and turn to a skating rink.
Four inhabited complexes in the Emirates from RNL
Ambitious projects Al Ghadeer, Ghantoot, Lu’Luat Al Raha, Shams, assume expenses for building of inhabited complexes for 8-100 thousand inhabitants on the areas more than 15-18 million in sq.m.

The project of the highest tower in the world is promulgated
Developer company Nakheel in these days off has promulgated the plans for building of the highest tower in the centre of Dubai.
The building height will reach 1 kilometre and will eclipse itself the highest for today a tower in the world — Burj Dubai.Nakheel the tower becomes a part of the project, named New Dubai which will be stretched more than on 270 hectares. And, predictably, will manage in 21 trillion of pounds sterling.
Representatives of company Nakheel have told, that instead of a unique kernel as it is accepted at building of skyscrapers, at their this building will be four, that is inspired by "traditional Islamic structures”.

The message on the given project is dated for beginning Cityscape 2008 event in Dubai. On this action it is expected to involve more than 60000 visitors from 150 countries. The exhibition will include more than 1500 exhibitors.
